Our veterinarians perform an examination on each animal presented for surgery.    If he/she feels your pet is at increased risk for anesthesia, surgery, or postop complication, the animal will be refused for surgery and you will be contacted.

Conditions that could result in refusal are:  obesity, abnormal heart or lung sounds, discharge from eyes or nose, coughing, sneezing, increased age, hair loss, or poor body conditioning.

If your female is lactating (producing milk) or is near term pregnancy, she will be refused for surgery.
